Temperature sensors
Extreme temperature ranges -200±C to 1250°C
- Thermocouple sensors: J, T, K or E
The TV2 sensors are remotely mounted from the TV2 monitor for flexibility.
Wired Sensors: Up to four sensors can be positioned hundreds of feet from the display. The TV2 monitor receives a new temperature reading from each sensor every four seconds, logs it, and displays it on the LCD display.
Wireless Sensors: Four wireless sensors can be used, with a range of over 60 feet, clear line-of-sight. Each sensor transmits its data to the internal base station every few seconds where it is logged and displayed on the Easy-Touch™display.
Each sensor, regardless of whether it is wired or wireless, is continuously logged in the TV2 monitor’s non-volatile RAM memory and can also be viewed on the monitor. All data can also be downloaded to a PC on the same Local Area Network as the TV2 monitor. Once the data is downloaded, either continuously or on-demand, it can be printed out as a color chart, exported to an Excel Worksheet or archived.

THE NEXT GENERATION DATA LOGGER
Historically data loggers were small independent devices which had to be pre-programmed and then positioned in the area where the user wanted to track some environmental variable. This worked great for remote areas where electricity was unavailable and there was no need to view the data until some time in the future. But if you wanted to see the data you had collected immediately or actually receive an alarm if the variable became unsafe you were out of luck.
The TV2 uses state of the art technology to not only log data but also alarm and chart the data. The TV2 has its own Easy-Touch™display so that you can view the data at any time without having to download it into a computer.
THE TV2 STORES LOTS AND LOTS OF CAPTURED DATA
A continuous chart is always visible on the large LCD display. The data can be scrolled through to see individual data points. A zoom feature allows the user to see all of the stored samples on the screen at one time, making it very easy to spot trends. (specs)
All logged data can be downloaded to a PC for viewing, printing or exporting into an Excel worksheet. Years of data can be viewed on one chart. A zoom feature makes it easy to highlight particular areas of interest. Zoom into a single logged entry or to zoom out to view a month or even a year of data. Multiple sensor data can be viewed together on one chart or separated into individual charts.
The TV2 stores over two-years of data if it is logged every 10 minutes. If data is logged once an hour over 12-yrs of data will be kept for each sensor.
TRIGGERS LOCAL ALARM, TEXT, E-MAIL AND/OR PHONE CALL ALERT
The TV2 monitor has a two stage alarm. The first stage triggers a local visual alert by changing the color of the variable from GREEN to RED and starting a watchdog timer any time a variable rises above or falls below its safe range settings.
Once the delay time is exceeded, the second stage alarm sends text and email messages as well as initiating the local audio and visual alarms at the TV2 monitor. The N/O dry-contact relay also closes, which triggers an optional auto dialer, external local alarm, or even the building alarm system. Optional multiple number auto dialers and local alarms are available for the TV2.
TRACE MODE
In addition to seeing the chart for each sensor areas of interest can be highlighted and traced to see what happened to the temperature at any given point. Each individual reading will be shown as a cursor passes over it on the display.
You can also:
- Scroll back and forth through the data;
- Move individual variables to their own chart;
- Draw a box around part of the chart to zoom in;
- Print out what ever is displayed on the chart;
- Enter a username and password to protect the data;
- Save the data in TView native format;
- Export the data into Excel;
- View all alarms
- High-low;
- Power out;
- Last reviewed date and time.

Product FAQ
Q. How accurate are the TV2 temperature sensor?s
A. Both the wired and wireless TV2 temperature sensors are have a ±0.3°C uncertainty factor.
Q. How accurate is your humidity sensor?
A. Our humidity sensors have an uncertainty factor of ±3.0%.
Q. Do I need both a humidity and a temperature sensor?
A. No, the temperature sensor and humidity sensor are built into one module measuring 2″ x 2″ x 1″.
Q. Can I print out a log of temperature and humidity?
A. Yes, the logged data can be downloaded to a PC at any time and a color chart of conditions can be printed.
Q. Do I need technical help to install the TV2?
A. Not usually. If help is needed we can supply it via telephone, which is almost always sufficient. If you have a very large computer system your are integrating the TV2 into, you might need some help from your IT department.
Q. Can I see the current temperature/humidity on my phone or from my home computer?
A. Yes if you use port forwarding. You might need some technical assistance from your computer guys to do this.
Q. Does the TV2 monitor meet JCAHO, CAP, FDA requirements?
A. Yes. It meets and exceeds all requirements for monitoring temperature and humidity.
Q. How far away can the sensors be mounted from the TV2 monitor?
A. The wireless sensors have a clear line-of-sight range of ~ 100 feet. Metal racks and walls between the sensors and monitor will decrease the range.
Q. How can I get the sensors further away from the monitor?
A. Our wired sensors which can be extended to hundreds of feet.
Q. What is the difference in accuracy between wired and wireless sensors?
A. The accuracy is identical.
Q. Do I mount the monitor in the office even though the sensors are in the warehouse?
A. It depends. If you are using wireless sensors the range will cut down if the signals have to go through walls. However if you place the monitor and sensors in the warehouse and plug the monitor into a wired Ethernet socket you can view the data on any computer which is part of the same LAN.
Q. Do the sensors need to be plugged into wall power?
A. No. Each sensors is powered by a 9 volt DC battery which has a life of about a year?
Q. How often is the display updated?
A. Every eleven to twenty seconds.
Q. How often is data logged?
A. This can be set to any interval between once a minute to once a day. Each sensor can have its own data-logging interval. The default interval is every 10 minutes.
Q. How safe is the logged temperature/humidity data?
A. Logged data is stored in non-volatile memory in the monitor. It can also be automatically backed up to a computer.
Extreme Temperature Data Logger w Four Sensors
Log, chart and alarm extreme temperatures with the TV2 data-logger. Choose from four different thermocouple types for cryogenic freezers, ovens, or high-temperature production processes. Operated as a stand alone logger or as a part of a system with networked computers. Add the system to a Local Area Network with wired Ethernet or WiFi. Data can be imported to Excel sheets integrated with a BACnet system. Wired sensors can be located up to 200-feet from the display .
The TV2 local display shows up to four temperature channels or eight channels if used with temperature/humidity sensors. All logged data is instantly available to the operator via the touch screen. The color changing display indicates safe/unsafe conditions to keep the operator in the loop. Installation is quick and simple and operator training is a five minute process.
The quick-check display updates every few seconds giving instant feedback to operators and other personnel. A two stage alarm alerts operators any time a temperature moves outside the ‘safe’ zone or if a power failure occurs. The display can also show a chart of historical data so trends can be viewed and analyzed.
