Your data stays on your network.

The TV2 monitors temperature, humidity and differential pressure without a cloud service, a vendor account or a monthly fee. Readings are stored on the monitor and on your own computer, and nowhere else.

Follow a reading from sensor to record

That is the whole path. There is no 2DI server anywhere in it.

  1. Sensor to monitor

Wired or wireless sensors report straight to the TV2. Wireless sensors talk to the monitor, not to the internet.

  2. Stored on the monitor

Each reading is logged in memory that keeps its data without power and can't be edited: 80,000 readings per sensor.

  3. Copied to your computer

Free TView software on your own Windows PC or server downloads the log over your network, or over USB.

  4. Alerts from your systems

Email alerts go out through your own email account. The monitor's buzzer, relay and auto dialer need no network.

You own the monitor, and you own the record.

Most monitoring is now sold as a service: your readings go to the vendor's cloud, you pay every month to see them, and the history is kept under the vendor's terms. The TV2 is an instrument you buy once and keep.

TV2 with TView

  • Data stored on the monitor and your own PC
  • Runs on your network, with no outside connection
  • Alarms keep working if the internet goes down
  • No account, no login to see the temperature
  • One purchase, list prices published
  • History kept for as long as you choose

Typical cloud monitoring

  • Data stored on the vendor's servers
  • Needs an internet connection to report
  • Alerts depend on the vendor's service
  • An app or web login between you and the reading
  • Monthly or yearly fees per sensor or site
  • History kept under the vendor's policy

The questions IT asks first

Short answers you can forward. For anything more, call us and talk to the people who design it.

Does it need the internet?

No. The display, alarms and logging work with no network at all. The network is only for downloading data and sending email alerts.

Does it report to 2DI?

No. There is no 2DI cloud or account for it to report to. Your readings never pass through us.

How does it connect?

Wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi on your LAN, with an address from your own DHCP server. Power over Ethernet is available.

Can it run air-gapped?

Yes. Leave it off the network and download the log with a USB cable whenever you need it.

What about remote access?

Only if you set it up. Reaching a TV2 from outside your network takes port forwarding on your own router.

Building automation?

An optional BACnet/IP interface puts the readings on your building automation system, inside your network.

Are the records secure?

Logged readings can't be altered, and files saved by TView are encrypted, supporting 21 CFR Part 11. Data security details.

Many monitors, many users?

TView Server runs on one of your Windows computers and gives everyone a browser dashboard, with user roles and an audit trail.

What if the power fails?

A 100-hour backup battery keeps monitoring, logging and alarms running, and the log survives a complete power loss.

No cloud service to get approved

Cloud monitoring means a vendor's service holding your agency's or hospital's data, and a security review to match. A TV2 is an instrument on your own network: nothing is hosted outside it, and there is no vendor account to set up or renew. 2DI is registered in SAM (CAGE 3LWH6) and accepts purchase orders and government purchase cards.
